BARRY TOPS THE LIST FOR HOUSE PRICE GROWTH IN GREAT BRITAIN
Barry is currently Great Britain’s hottest market for property asking prices according to Rightmove data. Barry, in the Vale of Glamorgan, is currently the most thriving housing market, with average market prices rising by 11% over the past year. Friends of Gavin & Stacey may be interested to know that there is a three bedroom end of terrace house for sale in the same street where these popular characters live in the show. The average asking price of a property in Barry is currently £191,050 up from £172,752, this time last year. Rightmove’s spokesperson, Miles Shipside, says “it is great to see Barry named as the country’s hottest property market right now. It is a great tourist spot thanks to the popularity of Gavin & Stacey and not forgetting that Barry also boasts some quite stunning coastal views”.
