WALES BUCKS THE TREND
The RICS (Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors) survey has shown that nationally the market is showing a flat or negative trend in activity, particularly in London and the South East. However, North West England, Scotland, Northern Ireland and Wales are all enjoying good activity and price gains.
In Wales, there are reduced number of properties coming onto the market, which is to be expected at this time of year, but buoyant demand has put upward pressure on prices.
Of the last six sales arranged by this firm, five are at or above the full price.
It will be January before properties start to come onto the market in any numbers, but if this interest continues, prices should hold up well, into the new year.
